To Rise with Resilience

Look around, with everything going on in our country, do we have the capacity to respond to these difficult situations? Philippines is currently subjected numerous problems, specially with the Covid-19 pandemic. Stress is evident in every part of the country. From lack of funds to unwise decisions, how can resilience be manifested?

Resilience is the a person's strength to cope up with stress and hardships. It is about being able to rebuilt or recover after a catastrophe. Resiliency is being able to foster strength and growth in difficulties. In short, resilience makes a person strong in unbearable situations not just to survive but to prosper. When it comes to our country, resiliency is what gives us the ability to adapt difficulties such as calamities, pandemics, and economical crisis. It would allow our country to take advantage of the situation to create new opportunities for improvement.

Our country is currently facing difficulties wherein resiliency would be of great use. In order to achieve resiliency, we must first look into the state of our economy. Philippines is in recession amidst the pandemic so we must focus on uplifting our economy. Available funds must be allocated to programs and activities of great purpose which would be beneficial for the whole country and not just certain locations. The government should focus on the necessary actions in accordance to the situation like the use of funds to improve health care instead of spending it on unnecessary projects. Our government should center their concerns on the improvement of our countries resilience specially now that we are facing serious economical crisis.

To achieve resilience, another step is to ensure the country's preparedness for future calamities, pandemics, and other difficulties. It is very important to be prepared at all times because catastrophe happens unannounced. One example is the Covid-19 pandemic in which our country is obviously unprepared for. Our country is experiencing lack of funds, medical equipment, and proper planning. With preparedness, our country wont have to deal with a lot of damages because they would be prevented before hand. It will reduce the difficulty that are country will face during recovery.

Improving our country's resilience is a must in order to attain a roaring economy and come up with positive responses to difficulties. In my opinion, we should all strive to improve our resilience as individuals. A country is not a place, it is the people. If we all are resilient, then our country is resilient. In everything we do involving the growth of our country, we must observe cooperation for it is our ticket to a better society rid of any difficulties. Let us all be resilient during our current struggles and future battles and sure enough, we'll prosper.
