A Better She, A Better Us         Women, for so long, has been facing intersecting disadvantages for their age, gender, ethnic background, sexual identity, religion affiliation, income, and many more. We have witnessed the disadvantages faced by women. Vulnerability is arising within acts of discrimination and inequality which impacts women of all ages. For centuries, women have endured the neglect of their human rights and until today, majority are still striving to endure the unrighteous situations that are scathing their well-beings. Our society is patriarchal in which men are appointed as decision makers but how can our society accomplish it’s vision to improve when men are making decisions for women without being able to properly understand the struggles of women?    Women have been the uncredited heroes behind the scenes. We must be outraged by the disadvantages that women still experience. Empower women! Empowerment pertains to including others who are often neglected during t

The world is currently in the battlefield desperately trying to conquer a global crisis caused by the SARS CoV-2 also known as the COVID-19 virus. From a mere epidemic that escalated quickly into a pandemic and is now tormenting humans physically and emotionally.     Distance learning is very challenging. Throughout our first and second quarter, I must adkit that I had a difficult time trying to accomplish all the tasks given. Now, during the 3rd quarter, I found it easier to accomplish tasks for I am already able to cope and adjust with this mode of learning. With  the help of our considerate teachers, we were able to survive another chapter of learning whilst battling with a pandemic. Face to face classes has required us to stay in schools for a lot of hours which reduced our chance to be thoroughly aware about our community. Thankfully, the lessons we have tackled in ICT focuses on each student's community. The tasks given have pushed us to do research about our community and I have learned that I only know a few details about our community. Because of the tasks given, I was able to acquire useful knowledge that I didn't even know that existed. The tasks given are very helpful for every student but they are not that easy. Considering

A Gift Of Freedom

Meanwhile, many years ago, the luxury of being free as a citizen and as a country was not granted upon our country. Instead, Filipinos has became slaves in their own backyard. Everything comes with a price, so does the freedom we are indulging to. Knowing this, what price did the country and it's citizens pay? The answer is very simple, they dedicated their lives. This heroic act of these heroes are worthy of more than just appreciation on the Day Of Valor. Commemorating the Filipino and American Soldiers that fought for the freedom of our country is the least we can do. In any situation, we should all find time to remember and appreciate their sacrifices.     On the 9th of April 1942, during World War 2, Major General Edward P. King Jr. was forced to surrender his troops to the Japanese army. These troops were made up of American, Filipino, and Chinese sol
