  I cannot count how many ties I have uttered the words, “distance learning is very hard". There is no lie in that phrase but now that I think of it, that phrase is one of the main reasons why distance learning is hard. Thinking of it as “hard" did not help but rather made it harder. Now that the school year is at it's end, I have realized that distance learning is rather challenging than hard. It has taught me many lessons that will surely be helpful in life, namely, patience, perseverance, time management, and understanding. 4 th quarter is the final quarter of every school year. Normally, during the previous years wherein face to face classes were possible, I would be less motivated and hardworking during this period. However, I have noticed that I now have a stronger drive to continue to do my tasks not only in TLE subject but also in other subjects.   Our planet, Earth, is rapidly approaching its destruction because of human activities causing its decline. As humans indulge in the technological and economical advances, Earth is subjected to catastrophic disasters. More than a million hectare of forest lands are lost everyday due to human activities and needs which reduces the natural habitat of animals. Due to the decrease in land area of natural habitats, there has been a way for animal pathogens such as the SARS-COV-2 to be transmitted to humans. Aside from the reduction of wild life's natural habitat is the rapid and uncontrollable increase of green house gases in our atmosphere, thus, resulting in a large scale climate change.     Years ago, and epidemic killed hundreds of people which pushed the locals of Vigan to carry out a novena which lasted for nine days. Miraculously, as days passed, the number deaths decreased and on the last day there was none. This sprouted Binatbatan Festival of the arts.          The world is currently in the battlefield desperately trying to conquer a global crisis caused by the SARS CoV-2 also known as the COVID-19 virus. From a mere epidemic that escalated quickly into a pandemic and is now tormenting humans physically and emotionally. As of now, there is no cure for the said virus, however, there are numerous vaccines namely Pfizer- BioNTech, Moderna vaccine, Oxford-AstraZeneca, and many more. For almost a year, the availability of a COVID-19 vaccine has been awaited but now that it is already available, not all are willing to be vaccinated.     Distance learning is very challenging. Throughout our first and second quarter, I must adkit that I had a difficult time trying to accomplish all the tasks given. Now, during the 3rd quarter, I found it easier to accomplish tasks for I am already able to cope and adjust with this mode of learning. With  the help of our considerate teachers, we were able to survive another chapter of learning whilst battling with a pandemic. Face to face classes has required us to stay in schools for a lot of hours which reduced our chance to be thoroughly aware about our community.       Our world has been turned upside down by the current pandemic. A lot of people, almost everyone, are suffering and mourning loses this year. In times of difficulty, the standard reaction would be to seek for comfort and refuge in churches, however, the danger of COVID-19 is serving as a hindrance to do so. Humanity, in time, is homebound.
